Debra Matlock Karaszewski 56, of Tucson, Arizona, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at home surrounded by family.
She was born November 18, 1955 in Tucson, Arizona.
She is survived by her spouse, Michael Karaszewski and their children, Kim Prince, Eric Karaszewski and Kaitlin Reith and husband, Rylon; her parents, Jerry and Marge Matlock; her siblings, Barbara Fisher and husband, Chris, Tom Matlock and wife, Barbara, Bill Matlock and wife, Kathy, Donna O'Leske and Diane Sweeney and husband, Mike; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
She worked in the healthcare field in the areas of radiology, medical imaging, radiation therapy and dosimetry. She enjoyed traveling with Michael and their children and enjoyed making keepsake videos of their experiences. She was an expert seamstress and made several memory quilts for family members.
The family would like to thank her many doctors and other medical professionals, especially Dr. Donald Brooks, Linda Barroero (NP), Dr. Curtis Mack and Dr. Paul Walshaw for their excellent medical care over many years; they gave us the most precious gift of all-more time with Debbie. We also give thanks to the staff of Casa de la Luz Hospice for their assistance during a difficult time.
A 'celebration of life' service will be on Sunday, December 11, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME located at 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd, Oro Valley, AZ.
