Bonny Bock
Bonny Lou "Bock" Nitka
November 13, 1954 - May 8, 2007 After a long, courageous battle with
breast cancer, Bonny has found her way into the arms of the Lord.
She was born and raised in Tucson, AZ where she attended Green Fields
Country Day School and Catalina High School. In her youth, Bonny
loved her travels to the Mexico beaches, water skiing at Apache Lake and
more recently being a part of the racing community. Bonny thoroughly
enjoyed the years she worked in the hardware business which included
Wicks Lumber, Grant Road Lumber and Payless Cashways.
For the past few years, Bonny and her husband, Michael loved living
part time near San Francisco, CA. Nothing in Bonny's life meant more to
her than raising her twin boys, Mikey and Joey. She was blessed to have
a marriage of 25 years to her loving husband, Michael. Bonny was a
devoted wife, loving mother and a caring and compassionate friend. She
will be remembered for her smile and laughter which brought so much joy
to all the lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis H. Bock and Mildred
(Bock) Elk. Bonny is survived by her husband, Michael; her sons, Michael
and Joseph (Heather Goldman); brother, Lou (Shelly) Bock; sister, Vicky
Winter; her loving father- and mother-in-law, Joseph M. and Betty Nitka;
many nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Shadow.
Bonny's ashes will be spread near Bodega Bay, CA and a memorial will
be held at a later date. Please contact a family member if you would
like to attend the memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
in Bonny's name to a charity of your choice.
