April 29th, 1955 - April 7th, 2006. Passed away at the age of 50.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Crooks; his children, Sarah, Michael, David, and Andrew; his sisters, Roni, Barb and Kathy; and his very dear friend, Blake Herrington.
Wes will be remembered fondly by his students, professors, and colleagues at the University of Arizona. At the time of his death he was pursuing a doctorate in Sociology with research focused on Political Sociology. Social activism and progressive politics were a lifelong passion for Wes and he was instrumental in developing Tucson's curbside recycling program. His social, political, and spiritual convictions will live on through the many people whose lives he touched by the inspiring and courageous life that he lead.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the University of Arizona Dept. of Sociology graduate school program, 400 Social Science Bldg, U of A, Tucson, AZ 85721.
We will gather to celebrate Wes's life at Cafè Terra Cotta from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13th.
